Getting around

What am I looking at? Bubbles — live deals from real merchants near you. The map shows where they are; the feed shows what's floating; Search finds anything by name, tag, or category. When one's worth it: go pop it.

Why do some Bubbles look different? Square image = a regular Bubble (pop it at the place). Round image = a Floater — buy it from anywhere, no visit needed. A "Coupon" label = a brand deal you redeem wherever the product's sold.

Popping

How do I pop a Bubble? Get close — most Bubbles unlock within a couple hundred feet of the shop — then tap POP. Your redemption code appears; show it at the counter. That's it. Too far away? "Take Me There" gives you directions.

Why does my code disappear? Codes reveal once, for 5 minutes — they're for the counter, not for screenshots. Popped and then got distracted? Re-open the deal within an hour of popping and you're still covered.

What's "Only X left 🔥"? Limited redemptions. When the flame's burning, the clock's real — Maxed Out means it hit the limit before you got there. Follow the merchant to be earlier next time.

Something says "ended early by the merchant." Merchants can take a Bubble down (wrong price, ran out of stock — it happens). If you'd already popped it, your code still works for your full hour. We show it honestly instead of pretending it never existed.

Floaters

How do Floaters work? Tap BUY and you'll head to the merchant's own checkout — you're buying directly from them (Pop Buy never handles your money). Their receipt or gift certificate is what you redeem, on their terms. When you head off to grab one: Caught! 🫧

I tapped Buy but didn't finish the purchase — am I locked out? Never. The Buy button always works again. The "Caught 🫧" chip on the card is just your own reminder that you've been through that door — it's stored on your phone, not our servers.

The deal says "limit 1 per customer" — who's counting? The merchant, at their register. Floater terms are set and enforced by the merchant (that's why we show them prominently before you buy).

Blowing

What does Blow do? It shares the Bubble with your followers — it lands in their Bubble tab as "🫧 from you." One blow per Bubble, so your shares mean something. Blow the ones worth your name.

Can I un-blow? No — a blow is your word. Choose well 🫧

Your account

Followers, following, and my activity — who sees what? Your blows are public (that's the point of sharing). Your pops are private — nobody sees what you redeem, ever, including merchants. Merchants can't follow you; only people can.

How do notifications work? When a Bubble floats in near you, you get one ping — one per Bubble, never repeats. Your radius, categories, and quiet preferences are all in Settings → Preferences.

What's my handle vs. my display name? Your @handle is your unique address (lowercase, 3–20 characters). Your display name is what shows on your shares. Change either in Edit Profile.

The paid stuff

What do I get if I upgrade? Free gets the full experience — popping, blowing, following, all of it. Paid tiers add conveniences: wider notification radius, audio alerts, more category slots, and (Premium) starting Bubble Up campaigns when that arrives. Every upgrade path is in Settings → Your Plan.

Will Pop Buy ever charge me for a deal? No. Poppers never pay Pop Buy for deals. Floaters are paid to the merchant directly; regular Bubbles are redeemed at the counter like any discount.
